We've had a training camp in Alpe D'Huez over the past 4 days with the French World Cup team. It has been ideal training conditions; blue skies, moderate temperatures and a full-length technical course.
In yesterday's race (which a couple of us from the Aussie team did for training in the lead up to the next World Cup event), I qualified in 5th position. In finals, I had a great start and won my first heat. In the semi finals, I was back in fourth and got extremely lucky... I made a pass on 2nd and 3rd about half way down as they got caught up together around the negative turn and crashed. I have to say this is the first time this has ever happened to me in this sport. It was definitely a Bradbury and I was very lucky, but I guess that's the sport! For the big final, I didn't have the best start but managed to sneak into 3rd over the first set of rollers and maintain my position to the finish, making it my second podium for the season. My team mate Sami Kennedy Sim also performed very well on the day, finishing in 4th. Two Aussies in the big final; not a bad effort!

I am now in Les Contamines, France, for the next World Cup. Official training is today, with qualifications and finals on the 11th and 12th. If you get a chance to see it on TV, finals is being broadcasted in Australia on the 13th at 2pm on Eurosport.
